Pre-Easter and Easter Festivities!

Happy Easter! Here's a few of our Pre-Easter and Easter activities! They seem to be somewhat scattered...I still can't quite figure out this blog thing to keep pictures in order!??

 We attempted a family picture after church...but didn't have anyone to take it.  This is the best we could do!

At the end of our day, we had our own Easter egg hunt in our backyard.  They had lots of fun hunting the eggs with candy, coins and tattoos in them!  Jacob decided to get tatted up with his tats! =)

This picture was from a pre-easter egg hunt I did with them one afternoon.  They didn't have their baskets yet, so we used buckets instead!

The day before Easter, the city of Santa Clarita had a massive easter egg hunt at one of the parks nearby.  Each person just darts for as many eggs as they can get in a confined area.  Since Jacob isn't one to rush and go get em....he got about 7 eggs. =)  Jackson was parking with daddy and missed the whole thing! Thankfully, Jacob got a a few for his brother....

At the hunt at the park, Jacob had a ticket in own of his eggs stating he was a winner!  He was soooo excited thinking he was the only one who won a ticket! =)  He won a large chocolate bunny....which sat in the sun while they played at the park....and totally melted!  Now it's a big mush of chocolate!

Wow....really out of order.  After church on Sunday, we went over to a family's house for Easter lunch.  Lots of High School staff families were there along with their own family.  We had a great meal and the boys had fun playing in their backyard with their friends!  We did get one family picture there!

And...back to our easter egg hunt in our backyard that night!  The boys had fun searching for the eggs!  Jackson actually found a good amount of them all on his own!

Happy Easter and Resurrection Sunday!  Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for our sins and rising again so we may live with you one day!!!

Mommy and Daddy's Trip to Victoria, BC

At the end of March, Mommy and Daddy took a trip for 3 nights to Vancouver Island, British Columbia without us!  We spent the time with Gramma D and Grandpa and then with Weston and Gabe Guitierrez for a couple more nights!  We had lots of fun....but not as much fun as Mommy and Daddy!

 Mommy and Daddy flew into Vancouver and then took a ferry over to Victoria on Vancouver Island.

 One of the main places people told Mommy and Daddy to visit was Butchart Gardens. It was beautiful!  It would have even been prettier in a month or so when all of the flowers bloomed...but they were starting and the gardens were cool to see!

 Their room at Brentwood Bay Resort.  It was so nice!  One of the nicest rooms they have ever stayed in!

 And...back to our room....we had a gas fireplace in it too!  So relaxing!

 One of the days we went to Dallas Road.  It was a long walk/run trail along the ocean....tons and tons of people were there with their dogs!  Apparently, they had been having lots of rain before we came and it was supposed to rain for awhile after we left!!! We had 2 gorgeous days in the middle...so everyone was taking advantage of the sun!

 This is the Parliament Building in downtown Victoria.  Very cool.

 This is the Empress Hotel.  Many people told us to drink tea in it...but we decided to go for a steak dinner instead at a steakhouse!! =)

 This was a lake right near where we were staying.  We would have hiked around it...but it was raining the day we were going to go.  Drove around it instead!

Our last day we went to a place called the Blue Fox Cafe.  We went on a Tuesday at 11am in the rain....and the place had a line outside the restaurant!! Apparently, it was a very popular local spot!  The place was AMAZING!!!!! This french toast was amazing!  Jeremy had an egg scramble that was really good too....well worth the wait!!!!!!

We had a great trip to Canada...going to a place we'd never been and without kids!  It was a great time to relax and enjoy each other's company. We missed the boys and were excited to see them when we got back!

Since Mommy can't seem to update the blog consistently, there are too many fun and funny things Jackson and I do to pass up posting a pic.  Here are some of the fun things we did in March!

 I wanted to dress like Daddy one day.  I picked out my clothes, tucked in my shirt and put on my belt all by myself.  This is my "work shirt".

 I got some new nike shoes that look like daddy's and some new "workout" shorts so I decided I better workout with Mommy and/or Daddy!

 To get rid of some of my balloons, I decided to send one to God.  Here's my note to Him in Heaven. I hope He gets it!!

 My actual 4th birthday breakfast.  I picked pancakes with chocolate chips on them.  Pancakes are my absolute favorite food to eat....with lots of syrup of course!!!

 Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and Grandad got this table/bbq set for my for my birthday.  I have fun sitting out there to eat and cook up some food for Jackson!

 One of our Thursday play days was a day at the zoo...Here's some of my friends at the zoo!

 The LA Zoo just opened a new Reptile Exhibit.  Here we all are outside of the exhibit!

 Just another day in Target...this time Mommy let us ride the huge cart.

 Hi!  I'm going with Mommy and Daddy to Canada!

 For Spring, I decided to expand my craftiness and make a burlap wreath!  Came out nice!!

GOOOOODDDD Morning!!! 

 In March, we did a craft to make a hill and tomb where Jesus died and was buried (and resurrected) to remember Christ for Easter.  Here's me helping make the dough for the hill! Mommy forgot to take a picture of the final project!!!!

 We played lots of baseball in March.  Jackson was in the outfield one day dressed like this.  =) Love the 1 shoe look!

 Mommy took me on an ice cream date to Ben and Jerry's....Mmm!!!!
