Jackson's Park Birthday Party!

We normally have a play group with a bunch of friends every Thursday.  This week we decided to celebrate Jackson's 2nd birthday with a balloon, cookie cake and a few presents!  This was the easiest birthday party I've had to plan EVER!!! =)

They were singing Happy Birthday and he didn't quite know what to do!!

 Nice, yummy blue frosting!

At the park they also have a free petting zoo!  These were the pop belly pigs...

 Deer...

Horses and donkeys...Cows....ducks....boars....like going to the fair but free!!!

Ms. Vanessa bought all the kids deer food to feed the deer....probably the highlight of the day...except for the cookie cake, of course!

Feeding the deer...Jackson actually wanted nothing to do with the animals.  He was scared of them!!!!  He held on to me very tight!

They also had an old house you could walk up a hill to see.  A few of us walked up the hill...it was 93 degrees that day!  Boys are pooped but did it!

Jacob and his "friend" Halle.  I love how "cool" he looks in this picture...She was already sitting at the top of this hill and he went to join her!  I think he has a little crush!!!!  Who wouldn't blame him... she's sweet, beautiful and comes from a godly family!

A Day in the Snow at Fraizer Park!

We had a little rain here and have friends that live about 40min away in Fraizer Park.  They are about 5000 ft higher than us so they got snow!  Lots of it!  We went up for the afternoon to play in it since the boys have seen it so few times!  They loved it....

 Jackson loved eating it...

The Newbolds....glad they live up there so we can enjoy the snow every now and then!

Brad even built the kids an igloo!

 Just eating more snow!

This was Jackson's first sledding experience...he really did like it...this picture doesn't show it though! =)

I just LOVE my boys....

They are so fun, crazy, cute, outgoing, loving....and hopefully one day will love the Lord! I love you Jacob and Jackson!

Jacob's 4 year stats

I forgot the post his 4 year stats in the other posts....so for my record...I wanted to write them out to have them for future!  He's grown this year!

He was 37 1/2in tall (58%!!!), weighed 33 1/2lbs (31%) and overall was height/weight 9%....so basically...he's grown from 30-58% in height in one year and from 10-31% in weight in one year!! Wahoo! Our kid is growing!!!!!! He still skinny...but that's not out of the norm with our family.  Thankful we have a healthy, growing boy that will one day love the Lord Jesus with his whole heart and worship His Savior for what Christ has done for Him!  Trying to teach him those truths daily!!!

Malibu and a few extras!

Last post to catch up for the month!  We went last weekend to Malibu for the afternoon because it was the perfect temperature at the beach!  77 and sunny with no wind!  The boys had a lot of fun and we enjoyed the sun!!!  Jacob first got there scared of the water....but by the end of it...he was loving it!  Well, at least playing in it with his legs!  Jackson, on the other hand, was still scared to death of it.  He was VERY content staying in the dry sand!

Doing some handstands in the sand!

Practicing "surfing" in the water with the boogie board.  He was soooo excited when he was able to stand up and stay up while I pulled him and not fall in!

Daddy and Jacob dug a huge hole in the sand and found sand crabs....Daddy had Jacob come and throw one on me...which I was not too happy about!!! Oh well...glad he liked doing it!!!

 I love this picture!!

sand crabs....

This was another day we took a bike ride over the bridge to a park.  The boys laid on the bridge watching cars go by under them!

 Pool day!

Our last Thursday play day was at the LA Arboretum.  Never been there or heard of it....we will be back!  It was such a cool place and had LARGE areas of land where the kids could all run around!  We were greeted when we first got there with this large peacock blocking the way!  The kids loved it (and so did us moms!).
They had ponds, waterfalls, bamboo forests, fields, rocks, everything a kid could want to play on!!!!!

Ended the day with push up pops!!!

Last day of Jacob's awanas!  He's had a great year learning verses, stories about God and meeting new friends!  Here are two of his friends he met from my table....Eisley and Delaney.  Notice the girls were a little intimidated to put their arms around Jacob! ha!

Lastly, we spent an afternoon with Gia, their cousin, since she was on spring break....we went to this indoor place house.  This pic was right when we were about to leave...boys are a little exhausted! ha!  Glad to have a cousin around that loves the boys!  She is about to have a baby sister in a week or two!  Can't wait to meet her!
